Mortgage Processor and Closer 

Position Type: Full time with Benefits

Location: Miami, Florida - Brickell Area
Hours: 9am- 5:30pm (with 1 hour lunch)

Traveling: Training Related

Duties and Responsibilities:

• A minimum of 5 years experience in processing Conventional loans.
• Knows how to use investors automated underwriting systems and DO.
• Experience creating loan closing packages
• Attention to detail a must
• Reviews applications for completeness. Calls borrower and establishes relationship with all involved within the transaction, the realtor, the closing agent, the insurance agent.
• Ensures all compliance documents have been signed and applications are documented correctly.
• Runs the application through the automated systems. Identifies which is the best investor for the loan based on guidelines and pricing.
• Prices the loan and locks it.
• Pre underwrites the loan and analyzes income tax returns, pay stubs and bank statements to determine satisfaction of income verification.
• Interacts professionally with loan officers, customers, and account managers.
• Manages investor relationships; updates web access; product guidelines.
• Generates customer correspondence relating to the initiation of the loan in accordance with guidelines.
• Also may greet clients and obtain signatures
• Obtains all documents needed to clear an approval
• Is in charge of taking the loan to closing
• Funds the loan
• Post closing
• Has the ability to speak to clients about products
• Stays abreast of trends and developments in the local real estate market and competitive environment, as well as, changes in rules and regulations pertaining to private and government insured mortgages.
• Maintains a professional image and adheres to standards consistent with company policies and procedures.
• Meets customer service standards as outlined by management.
• Maintain working knowledge of an array of product lines including conforming, nonconforming, and 100% financing loans..
• Maintain knowledge of pricing and all competitors’ rate sheets.
• Other duties as assigned
• FHA processing a plus  

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Good phone skills a must
• Min. of 5 years in the Mortgage business
• Demonstrated judgment and decision making ability. Excellent and effective presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to quickly assess and process large amounts of data
• Continue to expand knowledge of issues influencing the industry and the organization.
